英国图书馆学情报学教育状况考察

摘要(Abstract)：
<正> 1989年1月至1989年5月,我作为中英友好奖学金的获得者,以高级访问学者的身份在英国北伦敦理工大学情报学院进修学习。由于自身职业的关系,在访学期间,先后走访了英国的一些同类院系,拜访了一些著名的学者和院系负责人,并索取了一些院系的教学计划和课程安排。在这里,将个人考察的结果概要整理如下,以作为国内同行们的一点参考。一、历史与现状英国最早的图书馆学教育发端于1885年,是由英国图书馆协会(Library Associa-tion,以下简称LA)所组织的一次考试引发的。当时,根据LA的要求,所有的图书馆员
